Slack happy to use your data

With MS Teams or Google Chat pretty much bundled, I was always a bit frustrated at the desire to use Slack. Development teams love it. But from a cost perspective? Why am I paying for two chat apps?

Hey someone has to look after the budget.

Anyway, Slack considers customer data to be ‘sacrosanct’…but they’re still going to use it to train their AI model.

They say no customer data will be used for wider purposes. If you’re a suspicious person, or perhaps you’re a little weary with the “Trust us” from SaaS companies, then get your admin to opt-out. It’s not opt-in and only your admin can do it. By email.
