I'm a little suspicious

I’m starting to get a little suspicious of some of you folk with ‘AI’ in your titles.

Over the weekend there was quite a bit of coverage of the EV Fella getting $6B in funding for his AI startup. Followed by a lot of ‘Ooo’ and ‘Ahh’ commentary. What I would have hoped to see addressed by ‘experts’ a little would be:

❓ Who’s going to work there? Heads of AI Software and Hardware both left Tesla over the past two years, one of them went to OpenAI. He likes to pick public fights with OpenAI. Nobody is moving over.
❓ How does this fit in with him wanting 25% of Tesla or he can’t turn it into an AI Company (share price dependent)? We find out Jun 13.
❓ What does this mean for Grok and Teslas Dojo Supercomputer? Both of which are frankly terrible and not even close to being industry leading? (If he finally goes the Nvidia route I’m grand with that we have funds invested there)
❓ It’s the EV Fella, really? Never learn?

As Tech Leaders we check, verify and try to keep folk rooted in reality. ‘Ooo’ and ‘Ahh’ I leave to the Sales and Marketing teams.

Careful, you don’t want to find yourself at the same end of the bar as the Crypto folk.
