How bad can ransomware be? Last year the Danish cloud hosting company CloudNordic suffered a particularly vicious attack.

CloudNordic said a ransomware attack destroyed customer data on its servers, including primary and secondary backups.

Eight months later they’ve gone bankrupt and have closed down. Addressing the risk with insurance wouldn’t have worked in this case.
