AI gets carried away

If you’ve ever had to introduce processes into an SME or high growth business, you’ll know it’s never universally embraced with joy. Change control, asset management, risk registers etc.

“Why? We’re doing fine”

When it all goes wrong - that’s a great learning moment. Not at the time, that’s an ‘Oh s**t’ moment and education comes after that. We probably want to avoid too many of those.

You have to use experience and expertise to sell it a bit.

My eyes rolled at the article below. It’s pitched at the dangers of AI. It’s nothing of the sort. It’s a great example of not having a plan, process or to consider consequences.

AI agent promotes itself to sysadmin, breaks boot sequence
Fun experiment, but yeah, don’t pipe an LLM raw into /bin/bash

That’s not the issue with AI, it happens all the time. With lots of tools and the happy go lucky at the CLI.

Well, unless you follow processes.
